Probate And Estate Administration

What is Estate Administration?

Estate administration is the process of handling a person’s legal and tax affairs after they have died. Dealing with all their assets, paying Income Tax, any Inheritance Tax and distributing inheritance to the estate’s beneficiaries.

*The Family Trust Corporation do not complete regulated work and the regulated work is completed by one of our legal partners who are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

Estate administration is time consuming and usually a stressful process which is why we recommend using a professional Executor such as ourselves. An Executor is someone who has been appointed under your Will to deal with the Estate Administration. An Executor is entitled to apply for Grant of Probate – a legal document issued by the Probate Registry that grants authority to administer estate of deceased person. If you die without a Will, your close relative would be an Administrator who will be entitled to apply for Letter of Administration.

The Family Trust Corporation can help to take stress away from your loved ones and handle everything in a transparent and timely manner. We have completed thousands of estate administration cases over the last 11 years.
